Grand Tour 2021

As most of you have already noticed, I was in Italy for three weeks last month. I would like to share the resulting photographic impressions with you again. As with my Dolomites road trip, I will retell my Grand Tour chronologically as a post diary and share it with you. But what do I actually mean by Grand Tour? Oh well..! A grand tour was an obligatory journey of the sons of the nobility since the Renaissance, and later also of the upper middle class, mainly through Italy. In a broader sense, the educational trips of adult members of the above-mentioned classes were also designated in this way. Unfortunately, I’m not aristocratic, but hopefully a bit educated as an art historian. What I am definitely is full of passion for the art of Northern Italy and that’s what I would definitely like to share with you.
